Rob’s professional career started with a large CA firm and he became a member of NZICA in 1972.
His early accounting experience related primarily to audit work. In the 1970’s and 1980’s he had a senior managerial role in commerce.
Rob returned to Public Practice in 1985 as a founder partner of Christmas & Co. The partnership merged with Leicester Gouwland’s practice and corporatised to become Christmas Gouwland Limited in 2000.
Rob has been in Public Practice for more than thirty years during which he has provided a wide range of professional services related to:
Tax planning
Business structures
Succession planning
Litigation support
He is a trustee and a director of a number of private companies. He is also involved with several community activities including Project Kiwi and Vice Chairman of the Classic Yacht Association.
Rob’s special interest in forestry arising initially from a personal involvement has led him to pursue and develop forestry investment vehicles for clients.
Rob enjoys sailing, especially classic yachts, diving and travelling. He used to enjoy playing rugby, squash and basketball.
